VOLUNTEERING IN GRATITUDE AND GRACE!!

I love this quote by Edith Wharton, Vesalius in Zante:

“There are two ways of spreading light – to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”

I would love to have you join us in volunteering this month and help us reflect love and connection to each other and to our greater community.

Choose a volunteer role that speaks to you and fills your heart and soul. If you are not sure what you would like to do, I would love to chat with you and discover what may spark your interest.

WELCOME AMBASSADOR

If you love to greet and welcome with a warm smile and a positive attitude, this role may be for you! Tasks may include early arrival, late departure, prayer, room preparations, papers, logistics and the like.

Commitment: From one Sunday per month.

Training: Same day

Also: Insurance-required background check (not credit) will apply

GIFT SHOP AMBASSADOR

If you would like to help an individual discover that perfect fair trade/local gift or holiday item for family or friends, choose from the many textures, aromas, spices, sounds, or find the perfect spiritual books on an array of topics as one member of a loving, fun team serving in an atmosphere of love and joy, this role may be for you!

Commitment: 6 months; from one Sunday/month

Training: Same day

CAMERA OPERATOR

Are you curious about what happens behind the scenes during UIL’s livestreamed services? Are you a technically minded person with a creative eye and an intuitive sensibility? Jump behind a camera and experience the magic of creation as a member of UIL’s amazing AV team of encouraging, creative, collaborative, and visionary individuals.

Commitment: 6 months; from one Sunday/month

Training: In advance

SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADOR

Do you find yourself loving the online experience and wanting to find a way to contribute? If so, this opportunity may be for you. Social Media Ambassadors welcome online audiences, interact, encourage, support, reiterate key points, answer questions and in all other ways cultivate the same dynamic experience enjoyed by UIL’s in-house audience members.

Commitment: From one Sunday per month with possibility to provide support special services and/or provide back up.

Training: In advance

Also: Proficiency in Facebook and YouTube required
